Peruvian Airlines is an airline based in Peru. The airline currently operates six domestic routes out of Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima.[1]

History

Peruvian Airlines was founded in November 2007, receiving its Air Operator Certificate from Peru's aviation authority on August 7, 2009.[2] The airline commenced operations on October 29, 2009.

Peruvian Airlines was suspended by the Peruvian Government for 90 days as from August 19, 2011 for non compliance with air safety rules, but was allowed to resume some of theirs operations on August 27, 2011.[3][4]

In October of 2011, 65% of Peruvian Airlines was bought by Irish company Aergo.

In early 2010 and 2011, Peruvian Airlines purchased a Boeing 737-300 from Avianca Brazil, another 2 Boeing 737-300 from US Airways and 2 Boeing 737-500 from Air France.
